Job Description
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the forwarding sector, utilizing market research and industry trends to drive sales growth.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
Handle customer inquiries, queries, complaints, and provide quotations and proposals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
Work closely with vendors and internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Provide sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to management.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining profitability for the company.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to proactively address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company's services and expand your professional network.
Knowledge and Skill Requirement
Education/Experience: Diploma, Degree or equivalent in any field with at least 1 year of relevant experience in the shipping/logistics industry, preferably from a freight forwarder environment.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for junior positions.
Demonstrate customer service focus, sales orientation, and good selling skills.
Strong PC knowledge, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Proactive, self-starter, self-management, organized, hardworking, results-oriented, and customer-oriented.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to do presentations and write in English.
Committed, trustworthy, reliable, disciplined, and able to adapt and work in a challenging business environment.
Able to work independently, multitask, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
