Job PurposeUnderstand client requirements for current/future developments across APAC to ensure that TECHNIPFMC are positioned appropriately to receive EOI's, RFQ's and full tender documentation. Develop capture strategies throughout to convert prospects into won work and/or to develop and grow our asset/resource base to grow our market presence.
Job DescriptionTo provide clear and concise business development plan for the region showing areas of growth and opportunity based on accurate market data.
To visit Clients to provide commercial and technical support and to discuss opportunities, review and negotiate contracts in all aspects.
To present TechnipFMC capabilities to clients at meetings and or exhibition/conferences.
Lead and/or assist as required in the strategy development and the actual negotiation of technical, commercial and contractual issues with customers and suppliers.
Identify new opportunities and target to support TechnipFMC market growth.
Ensure the development of sustainable relationships with new and existing clients, throughout the lifecycle (from the initial stage of tendering, contract development, project execution and through closeout).
Develop capture plans/commercial strategy and ensure prequalification for opportunities to ensure we receive the RFQ / awareness of prospects required to support TECHNIPFMC Order Intake and growth.
To provide commercial and technical guidance in the translation of Client enquiries, orders, contracts, etc. to assist the Tendering team in providing client focused proposals.
To develop bid proposal and sales narrative in respect of bid document generation.
To provide assistance to others within the Sales and Business Development Department, other departments within TechnipFMC group as and where required.
Work closely with the other departments to identify project needs for commercial and technical engagement and to define acceptable parameters and limitations in the acquisition and execution of those projects.
Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the business environment, market trends, drivers and issues that will impact TechnipFMC's business.
Ensure list of prospects is maintained in Salesforce for planning of resources and management are kept aware of input into capture strategies (in conjunction with Business Analysts).
Attend and contribute to BD meetings ensuring dissemination of relevant market/competition information, discussion on strategies for winning work and effective and informed decision-making.
Maintain awareness of, and compliance with the Management System procedures, which directly affect the work undertaken. Comply with all relevant procedures.
You are meant for this job if:Degree in Engineering, Commerce or significant industry experience.
Minimum 10 years' experience in business development, tendering engineering, or project execution in the oil & gas industry.
Business development or tendering experience advantageous.
