The Business Development Manager will play a key role in the acquisition of, and manage the ongoing relationships with, Blueberry's partners and clients. The position will provide an appropriate level of account management, customer service and support to both partners and clients, with an emphasis on supporting the Partnership team in acquisition of new Tier 1 partners.

Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities
Proactively seek to introduce new clients to Blueberry's products and services, including upgrading users from demo accounts to live accounts.
Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor their preferences.
Leverage existing relationships with clients to gain client referrals.
Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective business and proactively manage through the various sales stages through to conversion.
Make yourself available to call international leads at least 6 hours per week.
Pursue new sales whether they appear to be high or low value.
Deal with both allocated and personally recruited clients as well as covering for colleagues' client bases where necessary, including non-dealing client queries.
Support the Head of Partnerships in onboarding new Tier 1 Partners.
Prospect new partners that refer business to Blueberry.
Look for new channels to acquire Tier 1 Partners.
Manage existing partners by working on ways to increase conversions.
Audit new and existing partners to ensure they meet the Blueberry Markets standards.
Evaluate the performance of existing partners with respect to volume of referrals and overall profitability of the clients referred.
Carry out any additional duties or projects allocated to the department.

Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or related field or related discipline preferred.
Experience:
Business Development/ Sales Experience:A track record of generating leads, acquiring clients, and achieving sales targets in previous roles.
Industry Knowledge:Deep understanding of the specific industry (e.g., technology, finance, retail) in which the company operates.
Market Expansion:Experience in expanding businesses into new markets, regions, or product areas.
Partnership Development:Proven experience in establishing strategic partnerships and alliances.
Client-Centric Solutions:Ability to develop solutions tailored to the needs of clients, leading to long-term relationships.
Performance Metrics:Familiarity with KPIs, performance tracking, and using data to drive business decisions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:Experience working with other departments like marketing, operations, and product development to meet business goals.
Contract Negotiation:Experience in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms of service with clients.
