CAPEX EngineerThe CAPEX Engineer plays an important role in the implementation of new plant/facility improvements and modifications to existing facilities with a structured approach to the project life cycle, from problem statement/definition, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, training, and handover to the operation and maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:In the scope of yearly CAPEX plan elaboration: Studies industrial projects (parts of plant) based on the expression of the need.
Pre-study with optimized solutions leading to technical specifications and budget.
Implementation of the projects agreed in the yearly CAPEX plan, from design to construction.
Engineering scope includes civil & structural (C&S) and mechanical engineering, supervision of construction, and support of commissioning.
Phases of engineering include flow sheets, layout, conceptual design, basic design, detailed design, and shop drawings (part of them can be subcontracted to external consultancy).
Work in partnership with the electrical/automation department for the projects and civil & structural works specialists.
Preparation of Request For Quotation (RFQ) and analysis of the offers with the procurement department.
Implementation of CAPEX projects while respecting budgets, schedules, quality, and SHE standards of Lhoist.
Support the plants for major maintenance or unexpected mechanical issues.
Adhere to and share a "safety first" attitude, whether within or outside of Lhoist.
