A CNC Machinist is responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision metal, ceramic, and quartz parts.
This role involves setting up machinery, reading technical blueprints, and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, or grinders.
Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software based on blueprints and CAD models.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as needed.
Ensure parts are manufactured to specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize machining processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
Experience operating CNC machines, with a strong understanding of G-code.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and precision measuring tools.
Ability to work independently and solve mechanical problems.
