About The Job
This role will be responsible for the commissioning of equipment and processes and will report to the After Sales Service & Commissioning Manager.
Job Description
Inspect and supervise installation of equipment, piping, and electrical items as per design.
Able to identify incompliances and provide advice to customers at site whenever needed.
Commissioning of equipment and processes at the lowest cost and shortest time possible.
Conduct performance tests and operator training.
Resolve issues during commissioning and work closely with the project engineering team if issues could not be resolved immediately on-site.
Work in a structured way in accordance with safety requirements and quality standards.
Prepare punch lists and progress reports on installation supervision and commissioning jobs.
Follow up on commissioning issues until closure.
Support project deliverables in accordance with specifications and improve competitiveness via standardization, review of PID and layout.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Box opening.
Conduct site audits/visits and provide improvement proposals to clients.
What You Know
Relevant Engineering diploma/degree from an established university or equivalent with competence to check and test operational components.
Minimum 2 years' experience in commissioning or maintenance of food or vegetable oil process systems.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Calm and able to maintain stable performance under pressure.
Ability to work with people from all levels and different cultures.
Willing to travel extensively overseas (100-200 days/year) and work on weekends and public holidays.
Having analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read P&IDs; ability to read single line diagrams will be an added advantage.
