Job Responsibilities:To carry out ongoing monitoring of daily sales and evaluate suspicious transactions reports (STR) lodged by other units, establish watchlists, collate intelligence, and grounds for suspicion for escalation to the Head of Compliance.
To monitor and review CDD and EDD information and provide feedback and follow up on remedial measures.
To periodically review and update blacklist/PEPs/sanctions lists.
To provide training to new tellers and branch compliance officers.
To prepare and provide ongoing staff training to frontliners and branch compliance officers, enhancing the knowledge of AML/CFT to the staff.
To assist the Head of Compliance in reviewing system flows and procedures to ensure compliance with BNM guidelines and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
To provide feedback on the review and update of internal rules, policies, and guidelines to meet best practices and industry standards.
To provide feedback on the development and enhancement of existing compliance systems and procedures to the Head of Compliance.
To assist other divisions in the Company and its related companies in establishing, developing, and improving new and existing products, services, business, and risk management.
Any other tasks, projects, or duties assigned from time to time by the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Manager, team lead, or the Company's management.
Job Requirements:Experience in remittance or currency exchange businesses is highly preferred.
Experience working with regulators like Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is often required due to the regulatory oversight of MSBs.
Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Male.
Minimum Degree holders.
Proficient in speaking and writing in English & Malay.
Able to work under pressure.
Willing to do overtime when needed.
Positive attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
