JOB DESCRIPTION The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of configuration management principles and will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support the management and control of configurations for hardware and software systems. Key Requirements:
Basic Understanding of Configuration Management (CM) Principles:Familiarity with the core concepts of configuration management, including version control, change control, and baseline management.Willingness to learn and apply CM practices across various projects2. Exposure to CM Tools:
Basic knowledge of or experience with configuration management tools such as Git, SVN, or similar systems.Ability to learn and use these tools to track and manage software and hardware configurations.3. Documentation Support:
Assist in maintaining configuration management documentation, including configuration status reports and change control records.Help in the preparation and management of CM plans, ensuring proper documentation practices are followed.4. Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with senior CM engineers and cross-functional teams (systems engineering, software development) to support configuration-related tasks.Provide support in tracking and communicating configuration changes within the project.5. Attention to Detail and Willingness to Learn:
Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency and accuracy in CM tasks.Show a proactive attitude toward learning new CM tools, processes, and industry standards.6. Basic Understanding of Industry Standards (Desirable):
