We are now hiring a Contract Manager to lead the contract department team and overseeing the contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities: To take charge of Pre-Contracts and Post Contracts.To prepare contract documents.To plan, monitor and supervise subordinates for Pre-Contracts and Post Contracts.Responsible for managing, monitoring and contract administration of the project.Manage and coordinate all projects related to contractual matter.To prepare pre-project budget and regularly review and update management on the budgeted cost during implementation of the project to ensure cost within budget for the project.To work on value engineering and cost saving for particular design and elements of the projects.To check on work done certificate prepared by contract executive to sub-contractors in accordance to work certified by consultant.To evaluate sub-contractors bid and analyse costing before recommendation to award jobs to sub-contractors.To prepare and submission of interim progress claim and ensure work been certified timely and accurately by client/main contractor through site valuation.To attend site visit and site meeting as and when required by management.To attend to site measurement, taking off quantity, liaise with consultants and client, source for quotations etc.Liaise with consultant on final payment valuation and certificate of making good defect.Developing and implementing procedures and policies for contract department: These ensure that company-wide contract management aligns with the organization's goals and legal requirements.Solve any contract related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the management Requirements: Must possess Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building Construction.At least 10 years working experience in Pre & Post contract administration, preferable with main contractor.Familiar with Government / JKR Design and Build Project.In-depth knowledge of contract law, construction contracts, and industry standards and regulations.Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex contractual issues and develop practical solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Required language(s): English, Bahasa and Mandarin.Independent, resourceful, and able to work under minimal supervision.Able to work under tight timeline and ability to multi-task.Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite.Applicants must be computer literate.
