Responsibilities:Ensure food items for preparation of food are available.
Portioning of food for Patients' meals.
Responsible for general housekeeping, cleanliness for kitchen work area.
Ensure proper food storage, labelling and inventory in accordance to Hospital Catering Guidelines.
Responsible for proper preparation for all patient meals.
Prepare Patients' meals item and other relevant items.
Prepare Special Diets and Ala Carte meals as ordered.
Prepare beverages cart for Outpatient.
Understand the rationale of therapeutic diet and preparing food according to standard recipes.
Ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals.
Conduct and document temperature check in ensuring proper temperature of cook/cook chill/raw food is being maintained.
Plan menu for A La Carte order, functions and meetings.
Knows how to operate all kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of all cooking equipment and ensure all cooking equipment is functioning properly.
Monitor sanitation practices and ensure that kitchen safety standards are followed.
Complies with departmental Quality Management & Patient Safety initiatives and ensures that the system is maintained at all times.
To develop a culture of high quality, safety, cost effectiveness, efficiency and efficacy of patient care.
Job Requirements (Education/Qualification/Skills):Minimum 3 years as a Cook in a hospital, hotel or hospitality industry.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
