Description
Process Cost Accounting: Ensure accurate reporting of the Cost of Goods Manufactured and Sold, including monthly reconciliations and updates of standard costs to reflect actual costs.
Inventory System Maintenance: Oversee inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, addressing and correcting any discrepancies.
Monthly Closing Process: Coordinate and schedule tasks across departments to meet closing deadlines, including planning and leading monthly and quarterly inventory reviews, preparing journal entries, and reconciling subsidiary ledgers.
Budgeting Support: Contribute to the annual budgeting process by providing updated cost data across product lines and collaborating with the Regional Finance department and auditors.
Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and precise financial data, including actual and standard product costs, to support new product development.
Process Analysis: Partner with Operations Management to analyze complex manufacturing processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.
Account Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of assigned accounts and other accounts as required.
System Accuracy: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the accounting system.
Profile
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing or production sector.
Skills: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple tasks and meeting concurrent deadlines.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in using relevant software and tools, including SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Analytical Ability: Skilled in preparing work papers, applying analytical techniques, and reviewing financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
