Minimum Requirements
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or related field.
Candidate must have at least two years of relevant work experience.
Candidate must be able to help students plan for and know the requirements for university, including universities outside of Malaysia.
Candidate must plan for universities outside of Malaysia to come visit.
Candidate must know and understand the admissions process for universities outside of Malaysia.
Candidate must show integrity in dealing with confidential information.
Candidate must demonstrate strong computer literacy and technology skills.
Candidate must demonstrate excellent fluency in the English language: written, spoken, listening and reading.
Candidate must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Candidate must show a willingness to submit to the authority and decisions of the head of school and school board.
Candidate must be willing to sign a two-year contract.
Candidate must satisfactorily complete the screening processes, which includes medical clearance, a background check, and a psychological evaluation.
Candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate flexibility in working in a cross-cultural environment, and be willing to be involved in the community.
Candidate must agree with and sign both the Dalat International School lifestyle statement and code of conduct.
Candidate must assist students and families in identifying academic needs and goals and help determine the best course of action to meet those needs/goals.
Candidate must provide individual counseling for the social/emotional/spiritual needs of students in grades 9-12 that aligns with Biblical principles and standards of Christian behavior.
Candidate must conduct group guidance sessions with HS students to facilitate adjustment within the school setting.
Candidate must work with the HS principal to coordinate academic standardized testing program and grade placement assessments.
Candidate must monitor student climate in the HS. Identifies issues and recommends options to the HS principal.
Candidate must assist the HS principal with the orientation of new students, orientation and training of new staff, the transition of students crossing school divisions, and the transition of departing students.
Candidate must update PowerSchool with HS schedule and individual student schedules.
Candidate must ensure consistent communication between all stakeholders to meet the needs of individual students.
