We are looking for a passionateContract Crew Payroll Executivewho will be responsible for supporting the Global Payroll team in Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM).
This person is responsible for ensuring timely payroll is made to our crew and payroll cost is captured accurately in our systems, as well as ensuring relevant statutory obligations are met.
The position will be located at our shared service office in Kuala Lumpur Sentral in the heart of Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, easily accessible by public transportation.

Interrelations:
Reporting to the Team Lead of the Global Payroll Team and working closely with members of the group, Vessel Accounting Group, Treasury Group, and Shipping Group.
Additionally, liaising with Manning Agents, Crewing Coordination Centre (CCC), Technical Manager, and Masters of vessels under management.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Liaise with Captains onboard our vessels to obtain payroll data and to answer payroll-related queries.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders globally for crew movement updates and claims approval.
Verify and upload data received, ensuring accuracy of wage variables, other earnings, deductions, and Captain cash account.
Generate payment drafts on time each month so the crew will be paid before month-end.
Process and endorse monthly payroll expenses, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to monthly deadlines for posting into our finance system.
Reconcile payroll balances in our finance system.
Prepare and submit reports for statutory obligations such as tax and social security.
Ensure compliance with our internal control requirements.
Liaise with internal or external auditors as required.
Undertake ad hoc tasks as and when required.
What Experience and Skills Are Required:
Open to any related field; a Diploma/Degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Banking, and/or Commerce would be advantageous.
Minimum 1 year working experience in a related field; Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel; experience in SAP is a plus.
Proficiency in English and Time Management.
