Data Analyst (Audit)-(240001CR)DescriptionDescriptionsCollaborate with audit teams to identify audit objectives, risks, and opportunities for data analysis or data science application.Collect, cleanse, and validate large volumes of data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Utilize data analysis tools to perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis.Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques to analyse and interpret complex datasets.Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, potential risks, control weaknesses and areas for improvement in business processes.Design and develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to facilitate audit team on communication findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Support the development and maintenance of audit data analytics tools, dashboards, templates, and methodologies.Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to data analysis and data science in auditing.QualificationsRequirements A bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and data science, or relevant experience, is necessary.Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, as well as data science tools and programming languages like Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies, is essential.Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques is required.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities are necessary.The candidate should be highly meticulous and passionate about applying advanced analytics techniques to solve problem statements related to risks and controls assessments in the internal audit function.Strong communication skills are required to effectively communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical auditors.A curious personality with the ability to think outside the box would be beneficial in this role.
