The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products.
The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates.
The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
About the Team:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Demand Forecast Planner to join our dynamic Shopee Logistics team.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing sales data, market trends, and historical information to develop accurate volume allocation plans and forecasts.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient allocation of inventory and optimize the Logistics process.
Job Description:
Analyze historical periodic sales data, geographical market trends, and cost structure to develop volume allocation projection plans throughout the year.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations management, to understand demand patterns, promotions, and new product launches.
Collaborate with logistics operations to identify and evaluate potential risks, constraints, and opportunities to develop a more accurate demand planning.
Monitor and maintain optimal backlog multipliers within key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area and key third party logistics partners to ensure balance between the ecosystem.
Conduct regular study and reviews on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ecommerce logistics in order to stay informed in decision making.
Perform robust regular review on the planned volume allocation strategy and make changes when necessary.
Communicate allocation plans and forecast updates to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.
Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipment schedules and optimize transportation efficiency.
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements and best practices related to volume allocation and forecast planning.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience in volume allocation, demand forecasting, or inventory planning within an ecommerce or retail environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
Proficiency in using forecasting tools and software, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of statistical modeling and forecasting techniques and experience with SQL is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.#J-18808-Ljbffr
