• Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering collaboration and aligning team objectives with organizational goals.
• Architect, implement, and oversee scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Define and drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native strategies.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI, ensuring smooth and reliable application delivery.
• Oversee the deployment and orchestration of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including managing multi-cluster environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and minimize deployment risks.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, or ELK Stack, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting strategies.
• Ensure infrastructure and application security by enforcing best practices in IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, and compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Drive cloud architecture decisions and manage cloud resources on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, leveraging services like EC2, S3, RDS, Kubernetes Engine, and Lambda.
• Develop and enforce team standards for version control, branching strategies, and Git workflows to support collaborative and efficient development.
• Mentor and guide team members in DevOps practices, fostering technical growth and career development within the team.
• Plan and execute cost optimization strategies for cloud resources, ensuring efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead incident management processes, including root cause analysis, remediation, and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated with emerging DevOps tools, frameworks, and methodologies, evaluating and integrating them into existing workflows to improve team capabilities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role managing teams.
• Extensive experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate and manage infrastructure.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift) in production environments.
• Strong expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on high availability and scalability.
• Strong hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or DataDog.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for scripting and process automation.
• Solid understanding of security principles, compliance standards, and vulnerability management practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in leading incident response and root cause analysis processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are highly desirable.
