Work Model:Hybrid in Penang, Malaysia
As a member of the Global Talent Acquisition leadership team reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, you will partner with various stakeholders to build a long term, best-in-class TA function in the APAC region. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leading recruiting teams, hiring at scale, building systemic solutions and automation that support business growth.
Key Accountabilities:
Team Management : Lead and mentor a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with UCT's business objectives and growth plans in the APAC region.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and key leaders to identify current and future hiring needs, creating tailored recruitment plans to address those talent needs.
Employer Branding: Enhance and promote the UCT's employer brand in APAC, ensuring a compelling value proposition to attract top talent.
Diversity and Inclusion: Advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the recruitment process, ensuring equal access to opportunities for all candidates.
Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure recruitment effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
Operational Excellence : Streamline, enhance, and promote existing processes, and develop processes where needed to drive continuous improvement, ensure globally consistent standards, and maintain compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role, preferably in a multinational environment.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful recruitment strategies across diverse Asian markets.
Strong understanding of local labor laws, cultural nuances, and talent landscapes in various Asian countries.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing and empowering others in a fast pace, high-growth environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to influence successfully and achieve goals by partnering across a matrix of stakeholders - business leaders, HR partners, and external partners.
