Global Maritimeis a leading consultant for offshore engineering design and marine operation services on a world-wide basis.
The Group has been consistently engaged on major marine offshore projects for over 30 years.
Document Controller
Responsibilities:
Point of contact for Document control for projects, including registration of documents such as procedures and reports.
Distribution of documents to the relevant internal personnel and ensuring timely completion of comment sheets.
Transmitting documents or comment sheets back to the client by the deadline.
Supporting on Project admin/coordination, including follow-up with clients on project requirements such as travel, logistics, visa, and medical arrangements.
Manpower planning for deployment of Engineers and Surveyors for site attendances.
Tracking and following up on Engineers and Surveyors timesheets.
Entering and maintaining project details, including financial aspects and progress in the ERP system.
Other adhoc administration duties assigned by superior.
Requirements:
Diploma or higher education.
At least 3 years of working experience.
PC literate and able to work independently.
Fast worker with initiative and a good working attitude.
Experience working with document control systems and ERP systems (preferred).
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
Confident self-starter who works proactively.
Excellent organisation and administration skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience.
Ability to resolve queries promptly and professionally or recognise when they need escalating.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
Open and honest communication, not being afraid to challenge poor practice.
Very good verbal and written communication skills, both internal and external, and across all levels of seniority.
Ability to coordinate the sign-off approvals from project and departmental managers, and across multiple departments in a timely manner.
