Job title:EHS Specialist (WWT Specialist)Company:Johnson MattheyJob description : Executes relevant EHS activities in line with clear policies and procedures at the site/EHS discipline to minimise EHS risks. Entry-level professional. May be working towards a professional EHS qualification e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent. Participates in small local projects.Your responsibilities:Exercising vital role as Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to ensure Project Installation/Construction activities comply with legal and JM requirements.
Supporting SHO on measures to be taken in the interests of the Legal and JM EHS requirements to Management & all employees.
Perform daily routine site inspections at all plant areas, especially related to Project Installation/Construction, to determine compliance with JM EHS & legal requirements.
Ensure all actions from site inspections are reviewed and followed through till closure.
Participate in investigations related to any accidents, near-miss accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, or occupational diseases.
Ensure EHS compliance of manual handling, working at height, confined space, IH/OH, and chemical handling for materials used, received, and/or processed at the facility/project site.
Ensure effective Project EHS-MS implementation at the Project site.
Verify the PTW implementation at site prior, during, and after work execution.
Conduct JM EHS Induction to employees and contractors.
Participate in Toolbox Talks with contractors.Requirements for the role:
Possess or complete a recognized diploma certificate in any field.
Have valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) competency from DOSH.
Have knowledge in Manufacturing and Construction fields.
Able to conduct high quality and detailed Risk Assessment e.g. HIRARC, EAI, JSA/JHA.
Have good knowledge of Project EHS Management, Environmental Management, IH/OH Program, Safe Work Practices programs as per JM Group EHS requirements.
Responsible for operating WWTP efficiently to avoid production downtime due to WWTP system failure and high levels of wastewater.
Daily and monthly monitor the WWTP operation efficiency by collecting data for critical parameters.
Shall be able to provide and present the data as necessary, especially for monthly end reports.How you will be rewarded:
