Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is directly responsible for the supervision, coordination, and record keeping of all maintenance related activities on the plant site.
Controls all maintenance documents as outlined on the site Master List of Controlled Documents.
Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance jobs to maintenance technicians as per the direction of Maintenance Manager.
Develop, supervise and coordinate plant maintenance activities.
Plan and inspect completed work on plant devices.
Maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work.
Acquire considerable knowledge of the process and the relevant mechanical, instrument & control and electrical systems throughout the plant and apply the same to troubleshoot problems and lead the maintenance team in resolving the issue.
Train subordinates on preventive and corrective maintenance.
Communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
Execute work orders through CMMS and coordinate with Electrical Technicians for job completion and technical matters.
Assist Maintenance Manager in planning and scheduling outage works with due regard to the annual scheduled maintenance plan.
Assess plant needs for spare parts & supplies and generate material requisitions.
Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for stock inventory.
Acquire full knowledge of EHS policies & procedures and ensure compliance.
Evaluate, plan and actively participate in plant housekeeping.
Assist and coordinate with EHS Manager/Supervisor with all EHS activities including implementation of policies/procedures, inspections, and audits.
Understand OH&S risks/hazards and Environmental/legislative aspects/impacts related to work activities.
Perform assigned tasks as given in Quality Manual I, II and EHS Manual.
Travel may be required.
Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with 5-7 years' experience in a similar capacity at a combined cycle power plant, preferably having GE F Class Technology.
Desired Characteristics:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
