Do we share the same goals? In this position you are primarily responsible to develop improvements for battery pack/module assembly processes. Participate and being responsible for all Electrical Engineering tasks related to battery manufacturing projects. Responsible for the electrical engineering & preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of project including process efficiency, optimize the productivity, secure quality product, ensure on-time deliveries and compliant to EHS policies.
Main area of responsibility is starting up the production line for battery packs & modules in Sandvik Seremban factory Your responsibilities consist of various tasks related to project coordination, project management and co-operation with other Sandvik factories where the products/technologies are originating Co-operation with suppliers of production equipment and tools will be essential part of your work Ensure the development of projects and be completed according to original plan and schedule Review and analyze regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards Develop single line diagram for main electrical distribution, motor control centers, electrical protection, and lighting distribution for LT circuits General study and engineering of power distribution, fault level calculations, relay coordination and setting Earthing design calculations, cable size calculations Review of vendors drawings for equipment, including battery packs & module line, distribution boards, capacitor panels, etc Schematic diagrams for power distribution, emergency lighting, fire and alarm system, public electrical system, data network (if any) Emergency generator and UPS, building access control system and CCTV for production line safety Cable schedules, cable tray routing & sizing in process areas and utility block Preparation of technical specifications for various key equipment like motor control centers, distribution boards, cables Manages directly and provide engineering and technical support to all the electrical work groups at site related to battery production Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national, or international standards Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards To co-ordinate with Electrical Contractor for Electrification, Execution, Erection & Commissioning To provide the entire electrical solutions as per requirement Client communication and correspondence Ensure work logs are maintained and updated regularly Participate in product support duties and assist with problem solving etc., if needed. Compliance with instructions and organizational practices at work. Taking quality requirements into account at work. Taking care of occupational safety and general cleanliness. Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered to Participate in implementation and understand SAP module Able to read & understand mechanical & electrical terminology, drawings, and hydraulic diagram Able to read and interpret electrical drawing and experience in panel and circuit wiring Familiar with and able to use mechanical & electrical assembly tools Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered to Has user level experience with ERP system and MS office applications is seen as advantage Teamwork skills, discipline work and proactive approach to work Readiness to work in shifts Meticulous to quality requirement and EHS procedures Battery technology background considered an advantage Your background and what we find important This role would be ideal for someone looking for a new challenge and further become an expert in the electrical engineering area. As a person you have excellent communication and customer service skills, able to follow instructions and deliver as required, able to work in a team as well independently with minimum supervision, fluently speaking English with a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering preferably in heavy machineries assembly line, manufacturing, assembly production, automotive environment or equivalent. Previous experience in battery production / manufacturing will be value added. Experienced in Management of Change (MOC) projects are added advantage. Thorough knowledge of Malaysia & International code / legislative regulations. Suitable Degree and registered with Malaysian Board of Engineers. Professional certificate related to Malaysian Energy Department.
