Overview
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Production Manager in maintaining and troubleshooting the daily production process and product quality deficiency, ensuring all production processes are in accordance with ISO 9001/13485/GMP requirements and enforcing all Company rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all production processes are consistent with written work instructions and procedures to comply with ISO 9001/13485/GMP requirements.
Familiarity with all work instructions and procedures in the department is essential, and they must be regularly updated.
Ensure all checklists and reports in Production are properly completed by various personnel and reviewed on a timely basis.
If there are exceptions/findings in any of the checklists and reports, ensure they are attended to by the right personnel until satisfactory resolution or rectification of problems.
Ensure the quality of gloves produced by regularly checking QAI reports and other related department reports.
Investigate quality problems further by discussing with related personnel (e.g., Supervisors, Group Leaders, departments such as QCP, Compounding, Engineering Executives, etc.)
before deciding on and ensuring proper corrective and preventive actions are taken to rectify problems.
Follow up to ensure that corrective and preventive actions taken by Supervisors and below for certain problems have satisfactorily rectified the issues.
Ensure Supervisors are performing their duties effectively according to their written Job Descriptions.
Ensure production staff of all levels (except Executive and above) are competent in performing their duties by organizing and/or providing regular training (both on-job and classroom).
Ensure the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieved through proper control of the entire production process.
Investigate and discuss with the Manager if not achieved.
Ensure any process deviations or changes are properly documented.
Ensure good housekeeping and proper handling, storage, and preservation of the product in all related areas.
Ensure all engineering works are properly planned with Engineering and C&I Departments before carrying out to minimize downtime.
For annual/preventive maintenance and modification works, plans must be agreed upon and approved by Production and Engineering Managers before works can commence.
Upon completion of works, ensure that they are carried out satisfactorily.
Ensure there is proper preventive maintenance on all production lines (e.g., Coagulant, latex, powder, polymer, chlorination, cleaning tanks, GSR, and all other areas in production lines) and supporting equipment (e.g., Chillers, compressors, scrubbers, etc.)
on a regular basis.
Any other tasks assigned by your superior.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or any Engineering background.
Minimum 2 years of working experience or fresh graduates.
Ability to troubleshoot issues systematically by applying related troubleshooting tools.
