The Engineering Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all engineering-related activities.
This position involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met, optimizing fabrication processes, and driving innovation to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities:Leads, mentors, and develops a team of engineers to meet organizational objectives.
Assigns tasks, monitors progress, and evaluates team performance.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Analyzes current fabrication processes and identifies areas for improvement.
Implements best practices and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Plans and oversees engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
Collaborates with project managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes.
Troubleshoots and resolves engineering issues during the fabrication process.
Provides technical guidance in the design, development, and execution of fabrication projects.
Reviews and approves engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
Remains updated on advancements in metal fabrication technologies and materials.
Works closely with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to align engineering goals with operational objectives.
Assists in the development of new products and prototypes, ensuring manufacturability.
Maintains accurate documentation of engineering processes, designs, and project progress.
Generates regular reports for senior management on project updates, team performance, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in metal fabrication or a similar industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems).
Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding, machining, and material properties.
Proven project management skills with experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
