As a Final Test Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test and visual mechanical equipment and procedures to ensure the quality and functionality of final test and visual mechanical equipment. You will work closely with the production and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that all products meet industry standards and customer requirements.
This role is 25% strategic and 75% tactical in nature.
ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and qualification of equipment used to support customer complaint management and failure analysis activities.
Responsible for new equipment/hardware procurement and buyoff.
Setup, initiate and develop new semiconductor testing and associated capabilities.
Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned/scheduled and ensure proper calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Lead the team in troubleshooting of equipment failure.
Ensure equipment performance at its highest performance and to ensure minimum downtime of equipment.
Assist in testing and debugging activities during electrical testing.
Develop and sustain the capabilities of semiconductor package reconditioning activities.
Perform any tasks assigned by management to support business needs (e.g., participation in TQM and GAT activities).
Present ideas, concepts, data, and plans with high confidence in team meetings and executive review meetings.
Direct and coordinate electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test and record test data.
Interface and confer with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation, or coding issues.
Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering and management personnel.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering.
QualificationsYou are best equipped for this task if you have:
Bachelor's in engineering/science/technical or equivalent equipment maintenance experience.
Good critical thinking and systematic problem-solving skills (e.g., DOE, 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, FTA, 5-Why, Fish Bone, etc.).
Knowledge in Teradyne ETS88 / 364 test platform will be advantageous.
Mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
Good written and verbal presentation skills in English.
Knowledge of test/measurement technology for digital, mixed-signal, and high-frequency PCBAs desirable.
Knowledgeable in schematic understanding of analog and digital circuit technology.
Minimum of three years of related experience.
