As a self-driven Junior Procurement Sourcing Buyer, you will support an external client environment.You will be responsible for supporting sourcing requirements and supporting client category management team and managing the contractual commitments for a given category. You will handle low-complexity projects, ensuring their smooth execution. You will report to the Malaysia Procurement BPO organization, but at the same time you will become part of the extended team of our clients as well, who might provide additional business guidance. You will conduct tendering activities, market analysis, including market drivers, supplier profiles and relative negotiating positions and support client sourcing strategies.Business travel can be expected in BAU times, approximately yearly and can vary on account and per client supported.
You will provide sourcing support as assigned by the Client Sourcing Consultant and Category Strategy Leader and contribute to operational levels of excellence.
You will own primary responsibility to achieve client success against all contractual commitments at a category level.
You will be responsible to understand category deliverables, savings commitments, milestones, and obligations– includes supporting reporting, analytical readouts that recognize opportunities to improve.
You will contribute to integrated sourcing strategy which delivers savings and drives category transformation through time. Deliver and execute on sourcing events to support the strategy, including tail spend management and supplier consolidation.
You will communicate and negotiate with clients and suppliers through all levels of organization, primary interface to key category client stakeholders.Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary experience.
Fluent in English.
Capable of conducting straightforward price negotiations.
Capable of executing project tasks and following established procedures for smaller projects.
Capable of maintaining basic communication with suppliers and managing routine interactions.
Demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management.
Ability to work effectively across different time zones, particularly Australian and New Zealand time zones, to accommodate meetings and deadlines.
Proactive character and team player attitude.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, with 1 year of experience in tactical sourcing considered a bonus.
