Environmental Executive

Job DescriptionTo support in investigating any accidents, near misses, or dangerous occurrences that happened in BMMY.
To identify and ensure implementation of the legal requirements for environmental management at the workplace.
To manage both scheduled and general waste storage areas in BMMY.
To follow procedures for legal compliance and implementation of the IMS in BMMY.
To support certification or re-certification activities in obtaining required ISO and other certifications in BMMY.
To support and prepare for report submissions to government bodies.
To implement IMS awareness activities and improvement programs related to waste handling and management.
To liaise with statutory agencies and relevant authorities regarding regulatory requirements.
To communicate with externally provided services on Malaysian laws, BMMY rules, and other applicable requirements.
To manage and monitor externally provided services during their work inside BMMY.
To immediately report to a superior when there is any abnormality or unsafe act/condition inside BMMY.
To identify the applicability of new legal and other requirements related to BMMY operations.
To assist with departmental administration tasks and record keeping.
Any other duties assigned by a superior.
Job RequirementsDegree in Environmental Science/Engineering or equivalent.
Preferably at least 2 years of related working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Good communication skills in Malay and English for both spoken and written. Advantage if able to speak and write in Japanese.
Experience in the field of Environmental Management & ISO14001 EMS, environmental legislation, and requirements.
Competent person for Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM).#J-18808-Ljbffr
