The ERP Finance Project Lead will be responsible for leading the financial aspects of the ERP implementation or upgrade project.
This role bridges the gap between the finance team and the technology team, ensuring the successful integration of finance processes into the ERP system.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, project management, and ERP systems.Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Lead and manage the finance-related components of the ERP project, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
It is also expected that the incumbent will be required to step up to project manage other finance initiatives to ensure the successful implementation, including reporting and analysis.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the finance department, IT team (local, regional and ERP project), and external consultants to ensure seamless communication and understanding of financial requirements.Single Point of Contact: Serve as the single point of contact for the finance team, working closely with subject matter experts within the finance department to address requirements, feedback, and issues.Process Mapping: Analyze and document current financial processes, identify gaps, and define future-state processes that align with ERP capabilities.System Configuration: Work closely with technical teams to design, test, and validate ERP configurations for finance modules, such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and reporting.Training and Support: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for finance end-users.
Provide ongoing support post-implementation to ensure system adoption and efficiency.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to financial processes and ERP integration.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Reporting: Develop and implement financial reporting capabilities within the ERP system to provide accurate and timely insights for decision-making.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
An accounting professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is a plus.Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, ideally in FMCG industryProven experience with ERP implementation or upgrade projects (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).Solid project management experience, preferably with certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).Strong understanding of financial processes and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Familiarity with data migration, system testing, and user training.Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.Adaptability and a proactive approach to change management.Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with others in a pressured environmentAble to work in a team, while in some instances able to lead a teamAble to strictly adhere to deadlines by prioritising tasks and effective managing of responsibilitiesStrong drive to continually develop and challenge oneself
