Plan and execute work under Corporate Legal Services including legal advisory in corporate, construction, financing, management, centralized services, procurement, joint-venture or shareholders matters, legal dispute, REIT, compliance to statutory requirements and standard compliance clauses such as HSE, Tax and Insurance, for the Companies.
Accountabilities
Plan and execute legal advisory work (review, drafting and vetting) on contracts, services agreements, and other binding/non-binding documents made on behalf of the organization to safeguard the company's interest and mitigate risks & legal implications that may have dire ramifications.
Assist in the negotiation by nurturing trust and fostering productive working relationships with counter parties and stakeholders to provide solutions, navigate conflicts, and achieve mutual agreements.
Provide general legal support services and advice on all relevant corporate matters, financing, employment and industrial relations, joint-venture and shareholders matters, procurement issues, commercial transactions/agreements, hotel and convention centre operations, REIT, facilities management, construction project management, car park management, chilled water and electricity supply agreements, retail agreements, contract management, and any other legal subject matter.
Plan and execute the services for financing documentation, manage and plan the due diligence process, and provide confirmation on all the related information and documents required by the Lead Arranger, Lead Advisor, Trustee, Banks, or Financial Institutions.
Provide secretarial functions to committee meetings including performing other related functions to ensure the effectiveness of meetings, circulation, and recirculation of necessary information and documents pre and post meetings.
Support the legal strategy, assess, and monitor the organization's legal risks to safeguard the organization's compliance with regulatory requirements.
Facilitate all legal disputes including industrial relations, litigations, and alternative dispute resolution, and liaise with the appointed solicitors for the strategy and plan to protect the Company's interest and optimize the successful outcome.
Implement the legal frameworks and monitor compliance with statutory legal requirements as well as the relevant compliance, assurance, and governance framework.
Assist in giving training and communication on any recent relevant laws and policies applicable to the Company's business and operations.
Perform any ad hoc tasks as and when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law.
3 to 5 years working experience in attending to day-to-day legal matters.
Managing legal issues with reasonable business knowledge.
Experience in financing, acquisition & disposal, or corporate exercise.
Knowledge and experience in Islamic financing (domestic and international).
Knowledge and experience in Real Estate Investment Trust.
Familiarity with Companies Act, Main Market Listing Requirement, and Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance and Capital Market Services Act.#J-18808-Ljbffr
