Assist in managing and overseeing the MMC Group (MMC Corporation Bhd, MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd, MMC Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd, MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd, and MMC Tepat Teknik Sdn Bhd) insurance matters to ensure that all properties & liabilities are adequately insured. This includes:
Collate, consolidate, and tabulate all information obtained from subsidiaries for renewal.
Check the accuracy, improve coverage, and extension where necessary.
Evaluate and analyse the new proposed terms by the insurers via insurance consultants (rates/excess/change of insurers) and negotiate where necessary.
Compile the terms and prepare the evaluation report.
Prepare the yearly renewal proposal based on the revised terms for management approval.
Ensure premiums are paid within "Premium Warranty Conditions":
Prepare the internal allocation and submit together with the renewal invoices to the Finance Department and the respective subsidiaries.
Highlight and monitor premiums paid within 6 days to comply with "Premium Warranty Conditions" to avoid cancellation and problems during claims.
Ensure all premium refunds in the event of cancellation or reduction in rates are obtained timely.
Effectively manage insurance claims:
Ensure that all insurance claims/losses are notified to the Insurance Section within 24 hours of the occurrence of an accident/incident.
