Assist Head of Department in all legal matters involving the Group of Companies including but not limited to corporate advisory, litigation, dispute resolution, and conveyancing matters.Assist to review, vet, and drafting contracts and other documentation assignedensuring the group's interests are protected, legal risks are minimized and compliance with all statutory and/or legal requirements.Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws as well as conducting research and keeping abreast of the latest legal and corporate governance development relevant to the Group.Assist in implementing legal strategies, frameworks and policies for the Group of Companies ensuring the Company's business, processes, activities, and operations are carried out in compliance with the policies and legal requirements.Monitor changes in the relevant legislation and the regulators and the regulatory environment and take appropriate actions.Assist in regularly updating the status of legal proceedings and disputes between the Group of Company and/or its subsidiaries with any third party, as well as to ensure that the proceedings as advised by the external solicitors is the best way forward and shall protect the best interest and rights of the Company.Manage and coordinate with external solicitors and other third-party advisors on the Group's legal matters including supervising litigation matters.Assist in maintaining litigation list and status updates in a timely manner.Assist in conducting legal research.Compilation of board papers and all other secretarial-related forms/papers/documents for circulation purposes in a timely manner.Attending management meetings and preparation of minutes in a timely manner.Attending meetings with stakeholders (subsidiaries of the Company) and updating the Head of Legal & Corporate SecretarialAssist in other tasks assigned by the Head of Legal & Corporate Secretarial from time to time.
