Executive Sous Chef - JSK Mantanani Island ResortThe position shall be based in our Resort at Mantanani Island. Hands-on with expertise in Chinese / Local / Asian cuisine.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations within authorized guidelines and to Company established standards.
Propose menus, kitchen-related purchases and continuously make necessary improvements.
Maintain positive customer relationships, process complaints, and respond to customer needs.
Establish targets, KPI's, duty rosters, schedules, policies, and procedures.
Comply with all food, kitchen health, and safety regulations.
Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff.
Keep up to date with industry trends.
Requirements:
A certificate, diploma, or degree in Culinary Arts / Kitchen Management is a prerequisite.
5 years of experience in the hospitality culinary / food & beverage industry.
Must be able to communicate (read and write) in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
ISO and IT literate.
