The role is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.
To be a successful field service engineer, you should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. You should also have excellent organisational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
-Conducting site visits, monitoring schedules, and supervising technicians.
-Testing and commissioning the smart home system to complete the delivery on time.
-Running field operations, offering technical support, and troubleshooting on-site issues.
-Must be able to perform residential eletrical wiring tracing and hand-on stuff.
-Escalate the issue to RandD and lialising for solution.
-Ensuring on-site efficiency and safety at all times.
-Manage SLA (Service Level Agreement) with client
-Prepare as-built and UAT(user acceptance test)
-Mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, and evaluating environmental impact.
-Meeting with clients and stakeholders.
-Drafting and submitting reports to superiors and other key individuals.
-Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during the installation process.
-Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
-Create documentation and training materials for customers.

; Requirements:-
-A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is often preferred.
-Training or certification in Z-Wave technology is beneficial.
-Prior experience in the installation and maintenance of smart home systems, especially those based on Z-Wave technology.
-Knowledge of other smart home protocols and technologies.
-Proficiency in understanding and working with Z-Wave devices and networks.
-Knowledge of networking protocols, wireless communication, and home automation technologies.
-Familiarity with programming and scripting languages may be an asset.
-Ability to install and configure Z-Wave devices such as sensors, smart locks, thermostats, and lighting controls.
-Excellent customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to interact with customers, understand their requirements, and provide guidance on the use of Z-Wave smart home systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues related to Z-Wave networks and connected devices.
