Working Arrangement: Hybrid Reports To : Executive Director/CEO Staffs Supervised: Head of Finance Senior Manager, Sustainable Procurement & Property Management Manager, Knowledge & Technology Solutions CONTEXT OF THE JOB The role and responsibility of this position is to ensure effective strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring and reporting to enhance the decision-making process of the company and to ensure the organization complies with all statutory and external requirements and regulations.
The incumbent will be a key player in the Finance and Admin department in providing appropriate direction and the necessary management, guidance and leadership, consistent with all the directives and instructions issued by the Executive Director/CEO, and other directives from the Board, in accordance with all policies of the company and Standard Operating Procedures.
KEY OUTPUTS Ensures excellence in effective and efficient functioning of the organisation.
Provide the required operational functions, platforms and frameworks needed to carry out its functions effectively in all locations.
Leads the strategy and implements effective and efficient operations in order to support its mission.
Delivers the annual budget.
Ensures that the appropriate risk management and financial oversight structures are in place.
Responsible for reporting on progress against the organization's operations KPIs to the Board of Trustees.
Ensures coordination between the different operations functions of Finance, IT and Procurement/Property Management for integration and cohesion.
Devises and maintains financial systems, procedures and internal controls.
Enables an efficient, effective organisational management system to be in place for the organization, (in collaboration with the Board, ExCo, Executive Director/CEO, Senior Leadership Team, as appropriate).
MAJOR ACTIVITIES Directs and improves the management of the organization's operations to become a cohesive and efficient organisation; Directs, coordinates and manages the work of Operations Units through the respective Directors/Heads of Departments which include Finance, IT and Procurement/Property Management, in supporting the organization to achieve its objectives; Reports regularly on the financial results ( both statutory and others ) inclusive of tax and regulatory matters, the progress against goals and KPIs to the Board of Trustees.
Manages and ensures the delivery of the annual budget in co-ordination with the other departments and under guidance of the Executive Director/CEO.
Coordinates and encourages sharing and learning across the organisation to support the strengthening and strategic development of the operations.
Monitors and provides feedback on the organization's financial resources, and plans; Ensures sufficient operations capacity to support capacity building or any crisis management.
Acts as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and performs other duties as requested by the Executive Director/CEO.
In the course of performing the duties as set out in this Job Description, the Finance and Admin Director may be exposed to challenging working conditions.

Requirements The candidate should preferably be a holder of a professional Accounting qualification and be a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Suitable candidates with an appropriate University degree in Operational Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration or related fields, and with relevant equivalent work experience, may also be considered; At least 10 years' experience in a similar Operations role in local/international organizations/companies, with demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams; Experience in implementing and monitoring the compliance of F&A and IT Systems, policies and procedures, preferably in the context of an international/local organization; Personnel/people management, coaching, and monitoring skills; In-depth knowledge of conservation and sustainability issues; Extensive experience in managing people and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to read, write and speak good English and the ability to converse in Bahasa Malaysia is a must.
Ability to show exemplary leadership, diplomatic and interpersonal skills in managing staff and relationships with stakeholders.
