The post holder will be responsible for the support of the implementation of e-invoicing of Heriot Watt University Malaysia.
The post holder may also be expected to support daily operations of the accounts receivable including student billings, assist collections, record collections, processing student refunds, and receipts application in a timely, accurate, and complete manner to ensure compliance with the University's policies, statutory requirements, and approved accounting standards.
This post will report to the Manager – Accounts Receivable.
Applicants are required to be available especially during the final week of the month and beginning of the month.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the accounts receivable (AR) team and ensure accounting records and systems comply with the University's policies, approved accounting standards, tax requirements, and any other related statutory.
Preparation of the upload file & any e-invoices related matters (invoice, credit note, debit note & self-billing) from Oracle Fusion to IRB portal as well as any accounting adjustment within the e-invoicing scope via HWUM e-invoicing middleware.
Assist with other e-invoicing tasks as needed.
Assist with the manual creation of statements of accounts.
Provide assistance with the manual downloading and emailing of invoices and credit memos to students upon request.
Provide assistance with the manual matching of receipts and credit memos to invoices for the correction of abatement distribution errors.
Carry out any other duties as requested by the Accounts Receivable Manager.

Person SpecificationEducation & QualificationsEssential:
Diploma or degree in any relevant field
Desirable:
Diploma or degree or a professional certificate or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Business are highly desirable
ExperienceEssential:
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience
Desirable:
Experience working in a Finance department capacity
Competencies, Skills & KnowledgeEssential:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable:
Sound knowledge of accounting concepts and reporting experience.
Well-versed with Microsoft Office applications, especially proficient in MS Excel formulas (Vlookup, Xlookup, Pivot Table & Chart, Data Manipulation & Cleansing).
Special Factors (if applicable)Essential:
Priority will be given to those able to commit during the final week of the month and beginning of the month.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud is highly desirable.
