WorldFish would like to hire an intern who will be required to support the Global Finance Team on various finance tasks needed coming from multiple finance units (Budgeting & Reporting, GL, AP/AR, Risk & Compliance).
Successful applicants will have the chance to gain knowledge and exposure firsthand actual working experience with given rotation tasks by each unit.
By getting hands-on experience by working under a Finance professional, he/she can understand and practically apply his/her theoretical knowledge of financial accounting in his/her day-to-day work orienting in such a position.
The successful candidate will: Supporting Budgeting Team in collaborating with BDP in building costing for project proposals.
Support Budgeting Team in annual budget and forecast process, preparation of reports and other ad hoc analysis.
Support Budgeting Team in Timesheet and personnel cost allocation related.
Support AP Accountant in invoice registration, payment and manage AP Mailbox to resolve issue.
Support to perform bank reconciliation.
Follow up with procurement to clear any issues in the P2P process.
Support GL team on monthly journal posting and balance sheet reconciliation.
Support in asset tagging and asset sighting process.
Develop and maintain an online filing on SharePoint assessable to key stakeholders.
Requirements This opportunity will be suitable for you if you have the below skills and qualifications: The candidate either will have obtained or currently be working towards obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or similar equivalent qualifications.
Demonstrate experience working collaboratively across teams in a cross-functional, matrixed work environment.
Good communication skills, particularly written English.
Ability to manage relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments.
Excellent analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams applications and hands-on experience with reputable ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
