The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all accounting functions for our operations in Malaysia and Australia.
This role requires a strong understanding of local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across different time zones.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for both Malaysia and Australia, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for both regions.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to senior management.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations in both countries, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing training and support as needed.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance reviews.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian and Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
Experience in managing remote teams is a plus.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Malay.
Additional language skills are an advantage.

Learn quickly and able to adapt and work independently in Malaysia and reporting to the Australian office.
