About the Job We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager for a full-time, on-site position at our clients resort in Kuantan, Malaysia.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial analysis, and report preparation, ensuring strict compliance with regulations.
You will work closely with various departments to optimize financial performance and offer strategic insights to drive the business forward.
Job Responsibilities Financial Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with internal and external regulations.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Budgeting and Reporting: Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor performance against financial targets, and prepare detailed financial reports for senior management.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with business objectives and provide strategic recommendations to improve overall financial performance.
Compliance and Controls : Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, maintain robust financial controls, and manage risk effectively.
Operational Support : Support operational teams by providing financial insights and guidance to drive decision-making and enhance profitability.
Systems and Processes : Manage the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial data management.
Qualifications & Experiences Needed At least Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Working experience 5-8 years in hospitality, with a background in resorts or reputable hotels.
You have at least 3 years of leadership experience, managing teams and bridging middle and upper management.
Over 2 years of experience in P&L forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, with strong proficiency in Excel or other reporting tools.
Experience with Oracle/Nafi or similar accounting systems is a plus, alongside basic knowledge of booking and purchasing systems.
Adept in accounting and bookkeeping, comfortable with tasks ranging from P&L management to bank reconciliations and cash management.
Take initiative in problem-solving and are skilled in empowering teams to meet financial targets.
Build strong relationships while enforcing necessary financial controls.
