Our Client partners with brand owners to build and accelerate their brands across APAC. The brands are present in over 60 countries worldwide. Their retail customers include Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Academy, Dicks, Amazon, Big W, Aldi, Sainsburys, Cemaco, Builders warehouse, Game, Makro, Shoprite, PnP, TFG group, Hyper DC, Sports scene, Double G Customs, Tesco, Carrefour, Asda, House & home, Takealot, The Coffee Souq, Costco.**Responsibilities**:- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.- Support month-end and year-end close process.- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.- Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of financial status.- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for Board of Directors meetings.- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.- Manage and mentor finance/accounting team members.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.- Strong leadership and management skills,- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.- Fluent in Mandarin is a plus point due to the role require to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM13,500.00 per month**Benefits**:- Maternity leave- Parental leave- Professional developmentSchedule:- Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)**Education**:- Bachelor's (required)**Experience**:- Financial Controller/similar: 5 years (required)**Language**:- English (preferred)- Mandarin (preferred)Expected Start Date: 06/16/2024
