Job Description Manage the preparation of financial statements on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with MFRS (Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards) and IFRS.
Ensure adherence to Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Securities Commission guidelines, and other relevant local regulations.
Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports, ensuring precise and transparent financial disclosures.
Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities in coordination with business units.
Evaluate budget variances and provide insights to assist management in decision-making.
Prepare financial models to analyze business scenarios, CAPEX, and investment opportunities.
Develop and sustain a strong internal control environment in accordance with regulatory and SOX requirements.
Ensure prompt resolution of audit findings by managing internal and external audits.
Record, evaluate, and refine financial policies and procedures to strengthen control and improve operational efficiency.
Supervise cash flow management, maximizing working capital while managing foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
Create and execute treasury policies, encompassing cash management and investment strategies.Handle relationships with financial institutions to ensure effective banking and treasury operations.
Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
Delegate responsibilities, establish clear objectives, and evaluate team performance to ensure accountability.
Provide training to support the professional growth and development of team members.
Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, board members, analysts, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
Compile and present financial information to senior management, board committees, and shareholders.
Ensure clear and effective communication with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Assist the Group CFO in assessing strategic financial initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital investments.
Perform financial risk analysis and create mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
Offer insights and financial recommendations to senior management regarding business growth, profitability, and resource allocation.
Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related discipline.
Professional qualifications, such as ACCA, and membership with MIA are required.
A minimum of 15 years experience in finance, including at least 3-5 years in a senior management position within a public listed company in Malaysia.
Experience in audit and assurance experience at large audit firms will be an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
Expertise in SAP financial software and advanced Excel skills.
