Your new role
As the main pillar in the finance team, you will be tasked with:
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on long-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting, particularly in the property sector.
Provide the executive team with actionable financial insights.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
Maintain compliance with financial regulations and tax laws, and manage audits by liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Identify and mitigate financial risks related to property investments and operations.
Implement controls to optimise financial performance and safeguard assets.
Oversee investment analysis for property acquisitions and development projects.
Develop strategies for capital management, securing financing, and managing banking relationships.
Optimise cash flow for business operations and investments.
Enhance finance processes and systems for better decision-making and efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise resource allocation.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Advise the CEO and executive team on financial matters.
Communicate financial performance to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and investors.
Provide financial support for strategic initiatives and property projects.
Conduct analyses to guide business strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
A minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, followed by a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, ICAEW or equivalent)
At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role, ideally in the property or construction sector.
Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and accounting software.
Comprehensive understanding of property finance, investment analysis, and financial regulations.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Excellent skills in presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong strategic and analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
