Huntsman Global Business Services is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Fixed Assets Accountant. The Fixed Assets Accountant position is accountable for recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, monitoring on the Capital in Progress, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.The Fixed Assets Accountant will be working closely with various stakeholders in multiple countries around the globe (i.e Country Accountant, Local Business & Project Manager) to ensure that the accounting service is delivered on time with quality and satisfaction. The Fixed Assets Accountant also needs to ensure that the works performed are in accordance with USGAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) control.The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.As a Fixed Assets Accountant, you will:Ensure the KPI are metEnsure SOX and GAAP complianceComplete month end closing within the deadlineComplete fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting systemTrack the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completedReconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledgerCalculate and analyze depreciation movement for all fixed assetsMaintain the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciationMonitor and track CIP Projects (Capital In Progress) on spending and timeframeSupport and service business queries and report in a timely mannerInvolve in implementing systems and procedures changesInvolve in ad hoc projects and migrationAssist with requests by internal and/or external auditWhat skills and experiences are we looking for?Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalentFresh graduates / half-year internship / less than one year accounting working experienceAbility to work on assignments/tasks that are moderately complex in natureAbility to work on problems of limited scope, following standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtainedUsing judgment in resolving routine/repetitive problems and making routine recommendationsApplying job skills, company policies, and procedures to complete tasksProficiency in MS Office and Excel productsAble to work under tight deadlinesAble to prioritize tasksGood written and communication skillsAbility to handle oneself well in stressful situationsFlexibility with schedulingSensitivity to customer needsFocus on qualityFluency in EnglishWhat can we offer?Huntsman offers unsurpassed opportunities to build a successful future.
