The Floor Manager will oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service and quality. This individual will lead the front-of-house staff, manage customer service, coordinate dining room activities, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and inspire front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Customer Service: Greet and interact with guests, address concerns or complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience.
Operational Management: Oversee daily floor operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Training and Development: Train, onboard, and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards of service.
Sales Focus: Monitor sales performance and contribute to growth by promoting menu items, upselling specials, and implementing upselling strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, and maintain open communication between front and back of house.
Event Coordination: Assist in planning and organizing special events, promotions, and catering orders, ensuring seamless execution.
Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports on restaurant performance, customer feedback, and staff efficiency, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a managerial role in the food and beverage industry, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with both staff and customers.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems, inventory control, and health regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
