Forwarding Assistant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and coordinate import & export shipments and transport arrangement with relevant parties to ensure smooth operations and shipment implementationResponsible for end to end customer engagement, i.e. proactive communication, update on shipment status, handling of customers' complaints professionally and escalation of issues to superior if necessaryPrepare customs documents, i.e. K1, K2, K3, K8, K9 and etc.Prepare shipping documents, i.e. Preferential Certificate of Origin and etc.Handle and fulfill shipment requirements from other government agencies, such as MAQIS, LKIM, MTIB, MIDA, MITI, CIDB, SIRIM and etc.Handle import and export declarations to relevant authorities and attend to any queries from themCheck and verify disbursement invoices from carriers or freight forwardersPrepare high quality documents and ensure accurate billings to customersResponsible for receivables and payables of assigned accountsSupport any other clerical and ad-hoc tasks as and when required REQUIREMENTS Must possess at least a Diploma from a recognised institutionAt least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position (Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply)Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook)Kursus Ejen Kastam (KEK) certificate is added advantageApplicants must be willing to work in Penang IslandMalaysian citizensWorking experience in relevant field will be considered if without academy qualification5 working days & alternate Saturday (half day) WHO WE LOOK FOR Pleasant personality, passionate for customer care and excellent phone mannersExcellent working attitude with high degree of self-motivationProactive team playerAbility to work and perform progressively with minimum supervisionExcellent coordination and problem solving skillsAttention to details and data accuracyAbility to work well under pressure, with high sense of responsibility and urgencyFamiliar with HS code, Import Duty & SST computation, and BG drawbackFamiliar with customs system process flow & customs officerFamiliar with flow of export & import for sea freight, air freight & cross border truckingFamiliar with COO and exemptions applicationFamiliar with customs and other government agencies' rules
