Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre. This role requires a versatile leader who can manage multiple aspects of the business, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the arts and community engagement.
Job Scopes Operational Management Oversee the daily operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centreEnsure all areas are staffed appropriately and run smoothly and efficientlyImplement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and customer service Financial Management Develop and manage budgets for each business unitMonitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitabilityPrepare financial reports and provide insights to the owner/director Team Leadership Recruit, train, and supervise staff across all business unitsFoster a positive and collaborative work environmentConduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities Customer Service Ensure a high standard of customer service across all business unitsHandle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectivelyDevelop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention Marketing and Business Development Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the café, studios, shop, and art centrePlan and execute events, workshops, and promotionsBuild and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, and businesses Facility Management Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all facilities & Coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed Inventory Management Oversee inventory levels for the café and apparel shop & Implement effective stock control systems Job Requirement Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a similar multifaceted environmentStrong financial acumen and experience with budget managementExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to manage multiple business units and a diverse teamPassion for the arts, community engagement, and customer serviceProficiency in Microsoft Office and business management softwarePersonal Attributes:
