General & Operational Accounting Senior Specialist

Job Description Position Overview:Individuals have a deep understanding of their own area and some understanding of related subject areas.They manage critical projects or larger customer contracts with general direction and may allocate some work to others.
Recommends department process improvements.Participates in department projects (strategic, tactical and control) where strong analytical skill is required.Assists internal and/or external audit process as required.Develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures.Works on critical client accounts and collection issues.Addresses escalated outstanding account balances.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualificationMinimum working experience of 4+ years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNCExcellent communication skills & proficient in EnglishSkilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc).
SAP user knowledge is an added advantage.Possess strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skillsStrong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-taskResults oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team playerAble to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staffGeneral Ledger Accounting - Position's General Duties & Tasks:The successful candidate will be responsible for global general ledger intercompany/group company.Responsibilities include monthly accounting close activities (i.e.
preparing & posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements & ledger activities), prepare balance sheet reconciliations, fluctuation analysis on balance sheet items and support monthly/quarterly reporting requirement.This position will require interaction with the operations team, other finance teams including project accountants within the organization to perform the accounting tasks & close the accounting issues.Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members.Involve in continuous process improvement and simplification project.
