Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aGlobal Account Manager (Customer Manager) , located inTokyo, JP .
This role is responsible for leading the NORDEL (EPDM) global account team for JOEMs in the automotive industry and is required to maximize NORDEL sales, strategy building, and maintain customer intimacy together with Dow global stakeholders.
Target applications are not limited to automotive, and it's also required to find new blue oceans for NORDEL by closely working with R&D and Marketing teams by driving innovation projects.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Account management on new/existing customers together with the global account team to hit sales plan.
Distributor management to lead them to grow more following Dow's directions.
Strategy building aimed at growing market share more than double over the next 5 years by increasing presence in Japan.
Account plan execution following strategy with internal stakeholders (production team, marketing managers, and supply chain/logistics).
Identify new business opportunities at new/existing customers or cross-selling areas to contribute to the selling up of our plant capacity.
Lead innovation by utilizing the uniqueness of NORDEL with technical teams.
Manage and address customer conflicts while working with internal functions.
Value chain management from downstream end-users to upstream.
Document key development progress and learning experiences.
Relationship building with JOEMs.
Job Qualifications:
Strong initiative, ownership, accountability, passion, and a proactive working attitude.
Experience in the chemical or plastics/rubber industry is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of sales/commercial experience.
Knowledge and experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
Good interpersonal skills and a team player, yet able to work independently and take the lead to achieve sales goals.
Ability to develop and execute strategies.
Communication skills and the ability to build networks inside/outside the company.
Fluent in the English language.
Availability for frequent travel (mainly domestic and SEA where JOEMs have a strong footprint in auto production).
