About the Role:
The Government Relations Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive government relations strategy to advance the company's strategic objectives. This role will require a deep understanding of the automotive industry, government policies, and regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:



- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a long-term government relations strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.


- Policy Analysis: Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislative initiatives that impact the automotive industry.


- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and industry associations.


- Advocacy: Advocate for the company's interests through direct lobbying, coalition building, and public relations campaigns.


- Issue Management: Identify and proactively address potential regulatory risks and challenges.


- Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication strategies for government relations issues.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant government regulations and standards.


- Policy Development: Provide input and expertise to government agencies on policy development related to the automotive industry.


- International Relations: Engage with international government agencies and organizations to advance the company's global interests.

Qualifications and Experience:



- Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within the automotive industry.


- Deep understanding of the automotive industry, including trends, challenges, opportunities, and government policies.


- Strong business acumen and financial expertise.


- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Excellent communication and presentation skills.


- Advanced degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.


- A strong network of contacts within the government and regulatory agencies.


- Experience in navigating complex regulatory environments and lobbying efforts.
