GROUP FINANCE MANAGER Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting functions. The Group Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the group's financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support our growth and sustainability goals. The role requires travel to our plantation at Papua New Guinea quarterly or half yearly.
Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis:
Lead the development and execution of financial strategies, budgets, and financial plans across the group. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and ensure fiscal responsibility. Participating in budgeting processes for the group. Managing financial transactions. Streamlining accounting functions and operations. Developing plans for financial growth. Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Risk Management
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets. Treasury and Cash Management
Manage cash flow and liquidity to support daily operations and capital investments for the group. Monitor banking relationships, including the negotiation of financing agreements and terms. Tax and Compliance
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Work with external auditors and tax authorities to facilitate audits and assessments. Ensure statutory compliant i.e. government regulations, accounting standards, generally acceptable accounting standards (GAAP) in all jurisdictions that the business has presence. Develop, implement and maintain sound financial accounting system, document standard operating procedures, corporate governance and internal controls (preventive and detective). Corporate Tax Transfer Pricing Documentation in compliance with local legislations Team Leadership
Build and manage a high-performing finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and teamwork. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's or CPA preferred). Proven experience as a Finance manager/Head of Finance or in a similar financial leadership role, with at least 15 years of experience. Willing to travel overseas quarterly or half yearly. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, auditing principles and reporting standards. Experience in the palm oil or agricultural sector is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strategic thinking and the ability to drive financial initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
