We focus on creating and implementing innovative approaches to drive growth through performance marketing automation, machine learning models, geospatial insights, user lifecycle and funnel optimisation, behavioural forecasting, and other advanced analytics methods. Our work spans across transportation, food, fintech, logistics, and platform services.Get to Know the RoleYou will report to the Senior Manager, Growth Data Science - Digital Marketing. You will leverage data to solve growth-related challenges, and aim to set higher standards for our team and stakeholders. You will utilise hyper-personalisation, demand generation, and user retention techniques to achieve our objectives.This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.The Critical Tasks You Will PerformOrchestrate end-to-end data science processes for performance marketing campaigns.Design and implement essential SQL data pipelines to create and maintain vital dashboards, serving as the primary source of truth for management teams.Conduct advanced statistical analysis and integrate machine learning models, simulating their impact on the platform for actionable business insights.Conceptualise analyses and communicate findings across business stakeholders and country marketing teams.Develop and execute analyses or A/B tests to validate experiments and models, performing detailed analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.Communicate problem formulation, solutions, analyses, and insights to team members and stakeholders.Build, validate, test, and deploy models and algorithms using both established and experimental techniques.Define hypotheses and conduct necessary tests, experiments, and analyses to validate them.QualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will NeedMinimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a focus on large datasets, user behaviour, or optimisation techniques.At least 5 years of relevant post-degree experience solving large-scale problems within app-based industries, online marketplaces, transport, or logistics.Strong analytical skills with expertise in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation.Proficiency in Big Data architecture and frameworks.Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, SQL, and programming languages like R and Python.Familiarity with computing platforms such as Spark, Airflow, and Presto/Trino on multi-cloud environments like Azure, AWS, and GCP.Knowledge of performance marketing concepts and tools, with experience in platforms like Salesforce, Adobe, HubSpot, or similar systems being advantageous.Experience in digital/mobile marketplace marketing, with a focus on customer lifecycle data, geospatial, and mobility data.Development experience with visualisation tools like Power BI, Tableau, or open-source visualisers (e.g., R Shiny).Ability to present complex subjects coherently to non-domain experts and business leaders.Additional InformationLife at GrabWe care about your well-being at Grab, here are some of the global benefits we offer:We have your back withTerm Life Insuranceand comprehensiveMedical Insurance.WithGrabFlex,create a benefits package that suits your needs and aspirations.Celebrate moments that matter in life with loved ones throughParentalandBirthday leave , and give back to your communities throughLove-all-Serve-all (LASA)volunteering leaveWe have a confidentialGrabber Assistance Programmeto guide and uplift you and your loved ones through life's challenges.What We Stand For At GrabWe are committed to building an inclusive and equitable workplace that provides equal opportunity for Grabbers to grow and perform at their best.
