Job Descriptions:
Provide legal support and advice to the management as well as different departments on legal matters and issues arising from the operational business including but not limited to compliance matters.
Draft, review and advise on all types of contracts, agreements and legal documents, provide legal advice for the business activities, and resolve legal issues/disputes.
Work with Human Resources to review and update company policies/employee agreements. Draft or review Employee Handbook (ensure compliance with labor law) from time to time.
Monitor, coordinate, and handle litigation matters which include taking instruction from management, liaising, corresponding, and preparing written instructions to external lawyers and advisors, updating litigation records and status reports, and checking legal bills for payment.
Work with internal audit to test key parts of the audit compliance program. Review and monitor compliance program in all business operations and audits.
Manage the Company's legal risk matters to ensure required interests are protected, minimize risk exposure, and manage financial and other liabilities adequately to the Company's interests.
Update and maintain the organization's corporate profile and corporate governance on digital content in Facebook, LinkedIn and Company's website.
Undertake all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by immediate superior or management.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Law or equivalent.
Preferably Legal Practice certified or any certifications from other professional bodies.
At least 2 years of in-house or legal firm experience.
Strong knowledge of commercial laws and practices.
Experience in corporate and litigation matters.
Experience in drafting, vetting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
Meticulous and competent in reading/interpreting contracts and legal documents.
Able to work independently or with minimum supervision.
Analytical, meticulous, and able to deliver quality results within tight deadlines.
Good communication skills – written & verbal.
